1. “Do bath bombs expire?”

Bath bombs will get less effective as time goes on. The fresher they are, the faster they’ll fizz.

If the bath bombs are out on display without package, they’re oxidising and they’re losing the ability to react so well. So the citric and the bicarb start to bind. The fresher they are, the faster they fizz. It’s better to use your bath bomb within 21 days. So if you buy off the website, it’s normally seven days at a push. Don’t wait for long time, use it as soon as you got it, enjoy your bath bomb. The same with the smell – the smell will wear off as all the essential oils start to evaporate.

2. “When do I put my Bath Bomb in the bath tub?”

When your tub is about halfway full, drop the bomb in under the running water to activate the foaming agents. Continue to swish and swirl the bath bomb throughout your tub until completely dissolved. Bubble bath can be used in conjunction with using a bath bomb. Although, you don’t really need it!

3. “Are the Bath Bombs safe for pregnant women?”

Yes! All SOAPY products are phthalate free.

4. “Will the Bath Bombs stain my tub?”

Nope! All our products use minimal/no color and any possible remainder of sediment in the tub can easily be rinsed away.

5. “Can I wash my hair if I’ve got a bath bomb in the water?”

It’s not going to negatively affect your hair.

But there are now ingredients in your bath – like essential oils, there’s some citric acid. They’re not bad – these ingredients are softening, for example. But it will mean it will have a different effect. And if it’s a bath bomb with surfactant in, for example, then it’s going to clean you anyway, because that’s what surfactant does.

6. “Can I use a bath bomb if I have sensitive skin?”

In general, they’re all really mild. Nothing in there is going to irritate you, but if you’re really sensitive, avoid the ones with loads of layers of bubbly mix.

The original bath bomb formula is surfactant-free, so it doesn’t have anything that can affect your skin. It’s effectively the softest formula, so it doesn’t irritate. But then when you start to add bubble mix, there’s the potential for irritation.

7. “How many uses do you get out of one Bath Bomb?”

All of our bath bombs have been designed as a one bath use to allow our bathers to get the best experience in the tub. If you do want to save the bomb for multiple uses simply remove from water when desired and leave on a paper towel until the fizzing ceases.

Note: Bath Bombs can last longer if they are kept in a dry place. If you saved the leftover try to use it as soon as it is possible because your Bath Bomb was already wet.

8. “Do SOAPY Bath Bombs use Sodium Bicarbonate that contains Aluminium?”

Nope! We believe paying extra for quality base ingredients is well worth it, who wants to be in a bath of soda can bi-product?
